Battleship

Let’s play Battleship!

HOW TO PLAY:

To set up the game:
1.) You need two players or teams to play. Each one needs to have a separate Battleship board.
2.) Both players/teams select any 10 words from a vocabulary list, and add them to their Top Secret Ship Location grid. You can use one of the lists below, or make your own. Don’t tell the other player/team your words or their locations!
Words can overlap, and they can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal.

Add four bombs to any unoccupied square. When the opposing player/team chooses this square you must give them a complete word.

To play:
Team A calls out a letter and number, and Team B must say what is in that square. Team A records what they have learned by dropping the letter (or a dash for an empty square) and the turn passes to Team B.

5. To win the game, be the first team to discover where all ten enemy ships are located, including every letter of their words. You can announce that you are ready to try for a win, but if you get any of the locations wrong, the other team gets three turns in a row.
