Checkers

checkers board game

Checkers is a simple game that we can use to practice almost anything in English. Bring a list of challenges, and you are good to go!

HOW TO PLAY CHECKERS
1.) Select a colour. Establish a first player.
2.) Players take turns moving their pieces forward. Pieces move diagonally. If an opponent’s piece is unprotected, as in it does not a have a piece where an opponent’s piece can jump it, the player jumps and takes the opponent’s piece from the board.
3.) If a player is able to move a piece all of the way across the board, that piece becomes a king. Kings move diagonally, like all pieces do. Kings can move forward or backward across the board. To represent a king, replace the piece with a star piece.
4.) The player to take all of the other person’s pieces off the board wins.
